How Tiwa Savage Rose To Fame – Top Facts About Her You Did Not know

In order to gain more exposure, she joined Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records in 2013. Her debut album had collaborations with artistes like Sarkodie, Slim and General Pype, and was first released on iTunes before the Nigerian release date. Her single “Kele Kele Love” was an instant hit, and gave her the much needed attention.

Doing collaborations with some of Nigeria’s biggest Artistes was instrumental to the “All Over” Singer’s rise to fame. She was featured on Flavour’s “Oyi” remix, and Patoranking’s “Girlie O” remix amongst others.

In May 2014, Mavin Records released a song titled “Dorobucci” featuring Tiwa Savage and other label mates. The song became a national anthem and established Tiwa as Mavin Record’s First Lady. Shortly after, the visuals for the song “Wanted,” off her “Once Upon a Time” album was released. The risqué costume and performance elicited mixed reactions from the public with many saying it was over board. Unknown to them, the idea of the video was to cause a buzz and get people talking about the emerging music star.
